The Secretary Bird Rose (75cl)
The Secretary Bird, a name deriving from the quill like feathers of its crest, is a familiar sight in the open grasslands of the Western Cape and is one of South Africa's most treasured national birds. Taken from vines in the Western Cape this is a pure and juicy rosé showing red berry fruit, culminating in a bright and refreshing finish.
Vinification Details: Temperature controlled, stainless steel fermentation, using selected yeasts. No oak ageing
History: Thanks to long-standing relationships with growers, we have been able to consistently source the best parcels of fruit and successfully establish the Boutinot South Africa style and standard always developing and improving quality. This means working in the vineyards, selecting the best sites, overseeing the winemaking.
Regional Information: This rosé has been created as a result of our long standing relationships with traditional growers in South Africa. This is young vine Grenache from Swartland which would otherwise have been blended away so is very much true to the championing cause behind the Sec Bird range.
