In 2008, a wild and rugged stretch of coastline on the north-eastern tip of New Zealand’s South Island became home to one of the most sustainable wineries in the world. They opened the doors to their state-of-the-art, custom-built winery on 08.08.08, and became the first winery in the world to be Toitū carbonzero certified from inception.
Seaview Vineyard, the home of Yealands Wines, was once a rugged, rolling stretch of pastoral land, that was thought to be too wild, windswept and undulating for growing grapes.
