Monkey 47 is crafted by the life & times of Wing Commander Montgomery Collins, a diplomat, soldier & philanthropist early in his life, before turning to distilling & the restaurant trade after.
Collin's guesthouse in Germany's Black Forest named 'The Wild Monkey' served his signature Schwartzwald Dry Gin until the early 1970s.
The story provided the inspiration for a distiller called Alex Stein to create his range of gins, ingredients from the Black Forest to resurrect Collins' legacy.
