Ripy brothers own a family distillery in Kentucky since 1869 and they've been producing Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey since. However the brand didn't get it's name until 1940.
Thomas McCarthy took the drink with him on a trip hunting wild turkey. A year later his friends requested for the drink and said, 'that wild turkey whiskey' and the name had been given since then. The master distiller is Jimmy Russell, he is the all time world active master distiller, with over 60 years of experience.
