Details of production:
Marius Red is a wine that combines generosity , complexity and elegance. The Syrah endows the wine with warmth, robustness and lovely bluish red hues. The Grenache brings a natural sweetness, balancing the wine. The crop macerates for ten days at a controlled temperature. The wine is then pumped as delicately as possible from the vat over the must for extraction, the grapes are then pressed. As soon as the alcoholic fermentation has ended, the wines are racked and left to mature on the fine lees.
Tasting notes:
Red, purple and dense with deep purple glints. The nose is powerful, complex, dark, spicy and full of red berry aromas along with a delicate floral touch. The palate is powerful, concentrated and structured with a tinge of silky tannins and lots of concentrated red fruit aromas.
How to serve:
Serve with Goats cheese and thyme cakes, Beef carpaccio with olive vinaigrette or Lamb kebabs and rosemary. During winter months Marius Rouge is perfect with Veal and mushroom pie, Chicken livers on toast or even Dark chocolate fondant.
