Details of production:
South of Burgundy, in the heart of the Mâconnais region, the area of production is located on the villages of Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré. The vineyards are clay and limestone soils. After a cool and rainy winter and a frost episode in April, the warm and dry weather in spring was perfect for the flowering. In July and August the weather was more demanding but it became fine again early September with a true indian summer which enabled a perfect maturation for the grapes. The harvest took place mid september under a bright sunshine. The white wines develop very pure zesty aromas mixed with floral fragrances.
Tasting notes:
Pale yellow color. Very fresh aromas of zesty citrus fruit mixed with green apple and a delicate mint note. Subtle minerality. Taut and well-structured. Very pure fruit combination. Delicate minerality. Long and refreshing finish.
How to serve:
Fish, cooked pork meat, “charcuteries” (“jambon persillé”), white meat and some goat cheeses.
