La Grande Année Rosé is Madame Bollinger’s ultimate gift, created from perfect conditions: a blend between a great champagne and one of the very best red wines from a unique plot, the legendary Côte aux Enfants, a single plot of Aÿ Grand cru Pinot Noir.

At Bollinger, only very high-quality harvests become a vintage: the 2014 vintage gave rise to a wine that is simultaneously precise, refined and complex in terms of both its minerality and exceptional length.

La Grande Année Rosé 2014 is produced by adding just 5% of the concentrated and complex Pinot Noir from the Côte aux Enfants vineyard and matured for more than twice the time required by the appellation sealed under a natural cork.

After vinification in small aged oak barrels and prolonged ageing on its lees, every bottle of La Grande Année Rosé is riddled and disgorged by hand.

It is made up of 19 crus: Mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for the Pinot Noir and Chouilly and Oiry for the Chardonnay.

Tasting notes:

To the eye, this wine has a beautiful and delicate coral tint.

There is a real mosaic of fruit on the nose with aromas of raspberry, wild strawberries, cherries—notes of peach and quince complete this fruity bouquet.

On the palate, it is clear La Grande Année Rosé 2014 is a wine with fine, delicate flavours characterised by its creamy effervescence and long aromatic persistence.

The wine’s wonderful acidity and saline quality appear alongside flavours of orchard fruits and berries.

How to serve:

Best served between 8 and 10°C. Refined and with excellent length, La Grande Année Rosé 2014 enhances any fine dining experience.

It pairs well with Bluefin tuna tataki with cherries and wild strawberries, Blue lobster with raspberries and wild strawberries, or Roast duck breast with apple and quince compote.
