The small Prosecco 8cento winery is nestled amongst the beautiful hills of
Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Founded in 1900, subsequent generations
have expanded and constantly updated the estate which is now a leader
in quality for the region, producing a range of styles which include one of
the region’s driest wines alongside a superb and very well-priced vintage
release. While firmly rooted in tradition, their winery is equipped with the
latest technological innovation to ensure consistently high levels of quality.
Grape Varieties Glera.

Farming practices Vegetarian - Contains sulphites.
Viticulture The distinctive hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene
are located in northern Veneto towards the foothills
of the Alps. This area is known worldwide as the
cradle and the heart of Prosecco, and is a Unesco
World Heritage Site. The warm climate and abundant
rainfall coupled with the steep, well-drained slopes of
limestone, sandstone and clay are perfect for growing
Glera, the principal grape of Prosecco

Winemaking This is a single-vintage wine, offering greater depth
and complexity than the non-vintage lines. Prosecco is
produced according to the tank, or Charmat method . A
base wine is made, then yeasts and sugar are added. This
is then transferred into an autoclave (pressure-resistant
tank), the wines complete their secondary fermentation
after 10 days. before being sent to a pressure-resistant
filter. Dosage then occurs before bottling.

Tasting Note Ripe peach and pear notes, hints of brioche; tremendous
depth of flavour for a wine at this level. Lovely creamy
mouthfeel and an elegant, refined finish.

Food Match Ideal for a meal with white meats such as a roast chicken

with asparagus, and of course as an aperitif.

Ageing Potential Up to 2 years.
