The 2015 Brut Nature Rose from Louis Roederer is made with a combination of 50% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay and 13% Pinot Meunier grapes.

The nose offers aromas of Sichuan peppers, violet, toast and mocha fill the nose, complemented by notes of wild raspberries, lively citrus, apples and bright tannins.

Louis Roederer is one of the few champagne houses that has been family-owned since its foundation in 1776. The greatest asset of Champagne Louis Roederer lies in the 242 hectares of its own vines - in the best locations of Champagne - harmoniously distributed over the three main production areas: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The plots of the vineyards are classified on average with 98% Grand Cru and cover two-thirds of the grape requirements of the house. The jewel of Louis Roederer is the Cuvée Cristal. It was created in 1876 especially for Tsar Alexander II. The grapes come exclusively from the 10 best locations of the Louis Roederer vineyard. They are classified with 100% Grand Cru and come from vines that are at least 25 years old.

Tasting note:

Fruity and intense
orange with salmon-coloured reflections. Uniform perlage with slowly rising bubbles. In bouquet spicy with notes of Szechuan pepper and floral and juicy with violet and gentian. Roasted and especially mocha aromas help the wine to elegance. In contact with air very fruity with strong aromas of wild raspberries. A fruity start on the palate. The Pinot Noir is characterized not only by its great fruitiness, but also by its dense, juicy structure and its ripe, almost sweet tannins. The fruity aromas of Pinot Noir are expressed in this wine in a wonderfully elegant way. The combination of precise fruitiness, sweetness, saline freshness and smoky aromas results in a wonderful umami taste.
