The wine region consists of four wine growing sub regions: the Maipo Valley, the Rapel Valley, the Curicó Valley and the Maule Valley.
It is a diverse region due to the many different types of terroirs and microclimates within each of the sub regions, as well as styles of viticulture from old school to modern.
