Louis Roederer Rose Vintage 2019 In L-R Box (37.5cl)
Introduction:
A rosé created by a long, gentle infusion of Pinot noir that extracts its juicy ripeness while preserving its tremendous saline freshness. In this process, some Chardonnay juices are added to the Pinot noir maceration, to ferment together and achieve the perfect integration of the two grape varieties.
Another step towards rosé champagnes with a vinous quality and gastronomic potential.
Tasting Notes:
Salmony-pink hue with bright red tints.
Steady flow of dynamic yet very delicate bubbles.
Powerful bouquet of juicy, ripe fruit (blackcurrants) interwoven with notes of pollen and lovely delicate tart berries (redcurrants), complemented by subtle touches of toast and vanilla, the result of a slightly longer-than-usual vinification in French oak foudres.
The palate is deliciously captivating and juicy, reflecting the great maturity of the vintage's Pinot noirs, which make up a significant proportion of the blend, coming through in the form of density and juicy, concentrated fruit, but it quickly transitions to sweet floral scents and the sensation of biting into freshly picked fruit.
The firm, sapid and saline tannic structure has created a beautiful vinous and powdery texture with lovely chocolate overtones that unfolds throughout the drinking experience. An absolute delight!
Vintage 2019:
The Cumières and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ Pinot noirs took full advantage of the historically dry summer of 2019 marked by heatwaves where the cool nights resulted in a phenolic maturity rarely reached in the Champagne region. This rich and elegant 2019 rosé, born from the mesoclimate of La Rivière, is crowned by radiant, fresh and concentrated ripe fruit.
